Building Doktalo: from an imaging study to a connected clinic workflow
A veterinary imaging service is more than a place to upload files. A clinic needs to send the right study, explain the clinical question, follow the case and receive a report it can use. That complete journey is the starting point for Doktalo.
Start with the clinic’s question
Our direction is to connect the steps around interpretation: receiving the study, organising the worklist, reviewing images, preparing the report and returning it to the clinic. The purpose is practical: make it easier to understand what happens next and where to find the result. A new feature should help that journey rather than create another disconnected task.
One platform, different ways to work
Some clinics need an imaging study interpreted. Others already report in-house and want better archiving, viewing or reporting tools. Doktalo brings these needs together through its teleradiology service, Cloud PACS, clinic portal and reporting applications. Clinics can discuss the full platform or the particular tools relevant to their workflow.
Keep clinical responsibility visible
Tools can help organise findings and prepare a report, but the clinical interpretation needs a responsible professional. Our approach keeps review and sign-off explicit. AI-assisted drafting should support the clinician’s work; it should not be presented as an autonomous diagnosis or a replacement for clinical context.
What this journal will document
Building Doktalo is a place for product stories, practical changes and lessons from improving the website and applications. Future updates can explain the problem being addressed, what changed, who it helps and what still needs validation. A development note is not a promise that every feature is available in every clinic’s configuration.
Help shape a useful workflow
Tell us where your clinic loses time: getting studies out of the modality, finding a previous examination, preparing a report or returning results.
